We update your Kindle Create project or rebuild it from your manuscript, and give you a new .kpf to upload to KDP.

• A .kpf is Kindle Create's finished publishing file. Kindle Create can't open a .kpf directly; edits are made in the Kindle Create project (.kcb) and exported again as a new .kpf.
• Many .kpf files carry a copy of the Kindle Create project and the Word file it was made from. When yours does, or when you send the project folder (zipped), we make your changes in Kindle Create and export a new .kpf.
• If the project can't be recovered, we rebuild the book in Kindle Create from your manuscript (Word/DOCX) and export a new .kpf. Send the .kpf too so we can match the look.
• You upload the new file to KDP from your own account.
